How to Prepare For An Eye Exam

What to Bring for an Eye Exam at Today's Vision Bulverde

Eye exams are an important part of maintaining your overall health. At Today's Vision Bulverde, we take your vision seriously and go to great lengths to ensure the best possible experience for you. If you are in the San Antonio area, stop by for an exam. Here are some things to bring along for your first appointment with us.

Your Last Eye Exam Results

If you have your last prescription, please bring it along. Also, bring your most recent pair of glasses, sunglasses, and/or contact lenses. These items will help us create a more robust look at your overall eye health and history. It is a good idea to jot down the names of any medications you take as well. This list should include everything, not just prescription meds. Include any asthma, allergy, pain reliever, and antacid you may take. Your eye exam may include a pupil dilation. Most yearly eye exams do include pupil dilation. We use dilation to check your inner eye and ensure that there is no damage or any other concerns.

Remember to bring in the name and address of your primary care doctor as well. We need to be able to communicate with them if any concerns arise.
